Colm Tóibín at the Cambridge Literary Festival

Friday 1 June, 6:30pm, Union Chamber On 1st of June (6:30pm, Union Chamber), we will be joined by Colm Tóibín, author of Costa Novel Award Brooklyn and the Man Booker shortlisted The Master, to talk about his latest work House of Names. Lyrical, meditative and artfully stark, Tóibín retells the ancient Greek Tragedy of the House of Atreus. Bringing the mythical characters Agamemnon, Clytemnestra, Orestes and Electra to life, Tóibín recounts tales of intimate violence, murderous actions, exile and survival in the most devastatingly human fashion.

This is an invitation to participate in the study ‘Understanding reactions to negative films and smartphone activities (Saadat, 2014⁄3214)‘. What does the study involve? The study consists of two sessions EXACTLY ONE WEEK APART. The first session will take about 60 minutes. You will be asked to fill in short questionnaires before watching a video. Paid Study: Can you learn an Alien Language?

We are looking for adolescent and adult participants for our online and mobile based study - the study involves playing a mobile game in which you will learn to communicate with aliens. If you know anyone who is aged 13-17 please consider passing on this information. If you are age 13 or over and speak English then you are eligible to take part. The study consists of a short survey, a mobile game and a few online psychological tasks.

Male Volunteers Wanted for Research Study

You have the opportunity to earn up to £250 We are looking for healthy, non-smoking, male volunteers aged between 18-40 years for a research study to understand how overeating can affect your hormones. The study involves 2 visits to Addenbrookes Hospital: The first visit is a screening visit for approx. 1 hr. The second visit is the main study visit for 5 days and 4 nights.
