Hall and Bar

CURRENT STUDENTS

Catz has regular hall meals, open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offering a variety of hot food and salads.

Payment is by cash or on your university card. Top up your university card through the UPay system. Pricing for 2020/21 can be found here.

Breakfast is held in the college bar, and brunch is held every Saturday and Sunday in the Catzebo.

Formal Hall is also held every Wednesday and Sunday. “Super Hall” (Formal Hall with an extra course) takes place on Fridays once a month.

Hall Opening Hours

Breakfast: 7:30-9:00am (Monday-Friday)
Lunch: 12 – 1:30pm (Monday-Friday)
Dinner: 6 – 7pm
Brunch: 10.30 – 1.30pm (Saturday and Sunday)

Formal Hall

The pricing system of Formal Halls (as of Michaelmas 2021) is:

  • £13.50 for 3-course Vegan/Vegetarian meal

  • £14.00 for 4-course Vegan/Vegetarian meal (this option includes a non-dairy cheese-course or equivalent)

  • £17.00 for 4-course Vegan/Vegetarian meal including 2 glasses of wine

  • £14.50 for 3-course Meat meal

  • £14.50 for 4-course Meat meal (including the cheese-course with dairy cheese)

  • £17.00 for 4-course Meat meal including 2 glasses of wine

  • £18.50 for any guest (non-member of the College)

Booking is through the college’s UPay system, on the left under ‘Bookings’, and the deadlines for Formal Hall bookings are:

  • Tuesday at 1pm for Formal on a Wednesday

  • Friday at 1pm for Formal on a Sunday

Bar

The bar is open from 5 - 10pm (Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday) & 5 - 11pm (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). Please note the bar is closed Monday evenings. The bar is also open from 8am - 5pm Monday-Friday as a coffee bar.

Payment is by cash and by your University Card.

There is table football (free to play) and pool (50p per game), as well as a quiz machine.
